ADDITIONAL AIRPORTS IN THE U.S. AND PUERTO RICO APPROVED FOR FLIGHTS TO CUBA
In addition to those listed below, airports in Baltimore (via Island Tours Charters), Dallas, Houston (via Golden Air Charters), New Orleans (via Super Saver Charters) have also been approved for flights to and from Cuba.
We will include flight information as it becomes available.

All travelers to Cuba are required to have medical insurance coverage during your stay.
For travelers on the charter flights from Miami and from New York, the cost for this coverage is included within the airfare charge.

For travelers on flights from Cancun or Nassau to Havana or from other cities, medical insurance will be available upon landing in Havana at a cost of approximately 2 -3 CUC (Convertible Cuban Pesos) per day in Cuba.
In some cases, travelers on the flights from Cancun to Havana may be able to prepay their medical insurance to Marazul at a cost of $3 US Dollars per day in Cuba.

Important: C+T no longer includes U.S. departure taxes and fees in its fare.
C+T will now collect $130 per person in cash at check-in in New York for U.S. departure taxes and fees.
C+T baggage policy:
No bags accepted which weigh over 70 lbs.
No charge for personal items weighing less than 12 lbs.
Carry-on up to 20 lbs: $30 / If over 20 lbs. it must be checked in. Checked bags will be charged at the following rates:
$60 for the first checked bag , $80 for the second bag, and $110 for the third bag and $130 for a box.

Flights between New York and Havana may be combined with C+T flights between Miami and Havana on Sundays or Thursdays. The combination fare will be the same as the New York/Havana/New York roundtrip.

From Chicago
An article dated Aug 2, 2011, stated that C+T Charters will begin twice-weekly flights to Havana from Chicago in October.

From Ft. Lauderdale

From Oakland
An article dated June 9, 2011, stated that CTS Charters will begin weekly flights to Havana from Oakland, CA, in December at an estimated cost of between $689 and $860 roundtrip depending on time of the year.

There are no Cubana flights from Nassau to Havana on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

AIRFARE MAY 15 – OCT 31, 2011:  $335 Roundtrip - to Marazul  +$54.50 Airport taxes paid in Nassau
+ $25 CUC Cuban tax pd in Havana)

CANCELLATION CHARGES: $100 FEE WITHIN ONE WEEK OF DEPARTURE

Baggage: 71 lbs allowed per person (including carry-on). Excess baggage charged at $2.50 per pound over 71 lbs.)

Cubana recommends that connecting flights be scheduled no closer than 3 hours after the scheduled Cubana arrival in Nassau.They take no responsibility for missed connecting flight costs.
Within one week of departure: $100 change or cancellation fee.

CUBANA: Starts at $315 UP TO 21 DAYS Costs include Security Tax  and fuel surcharge Cubana allows 66 lbs free + $1.30 per lb overweight.
IMPORTANT: Cubana tickets must be issued within 48 hours of confirmation and are
NON-REFUNDABLE once issued. There is a $100 fee for date changes.
Costs do not include departure taxes (+ $25 CUC Cuban tax pd in Havana)

AEROMEXICO: Starts at $310 UP TO 30 DAYS Costs include Security Tax  and fuel surcharge.

Once issued, tickets on Cubana are NON-REFUNDABLE and there is a $60 CHANGE FEE.
Costs do NOT include taxes paid in Mexico ONLY IF the passenger is staying more than 24 hours in Mexico:
$27 Mexican Airport Tax + $20 Mexican Immigration Tax.
